Technical Specs
The Department of Safety website is built with valid (lord willing) XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets. We avoid tables, font tags, and various other crufty things like that. This is to improve accessibility, load times, and ease of future updates.
The back end of the site is powered by Textpattern, an excellent content management system developed by Dean Allen, a Vancouver expatriate who is also responsible for Textdrive and myriad other awesome things. Thanks, Dean!
