Booking Information
If you are in a band and are interested in playing a show at the DoS, please read this entire page. It will answer many of your questions about our booking process. Please don’t email us asking questions that are already answered here.
Policies and Processes
We strive to present exceptional, progressive, and/or beautiful music at our venue. Booking local music is also really important to us. That said, we don’t book many nu-metal, splattercore, satanic, buttrock, or “hair” bands to play here. Sorry, Slipknot!
Also, be sure to check our schedule before you start asking about dates. Our “sustainability in booking” policy requires that we only book 2-4 shows per month, barring exceptional circumstances. So, for instance, if there is already a show on August 3rd and you are asking for a show on August 4th, it is highly unlikely that we will be able to do something on that day. Thanks.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A SHOW:
Please send a demo, press package, or any other relevant materials to the address below. Preferably at least 2 months before you might want to play. We won’t consider any bands that don’t or can’t give us samples of their music to hear.
It’s also important to note that due to our small town location and limited finances, we can’t afford to book everyone who inquires about playing here. We are a volunteer organization so be patient if we don’t get back to you right away. We keep a journal of your music and information and we will respond when we have an appropriate line-up. DISCLAIMER: The previous sentence was stolen from the web page of The Vera Project, who we think may have stolen the sentence from KEXP. But we don’t know. Either way, it’s blatant plagarism.
